Station advertising

Set up a club’s advertising, manage images and videos, assign playlists to Stations, and control playback on an external display. This guide follows the administrator and Station operator workflows from setup to daily use.

1. Accuro Admin selects the club; Club Admin manages its shared media library.

2. Upload media and wait for Ready. Create a playlist and assign it to a Station.

3. On the iPad, enable External display advertising and check Media.

4. Connect the external display. Ads play automatically when the Station is eligible and idle.

Training takes priority. Playing an advertisement does not change session recording, scoring, heart-rate collection, or training duration.

Set up advertising for a clubCopy Anchor Link

1. Open your account menu and choose Accuro Admin under Switch active role.

2. Select the club using the Client selector at the top of the page.

3. In the Client workspace, open Management → Station advertising.

4. Prepare the club’s media and playlist, then enable advertising for each target Station as described in Station assignment.

There is no separate advertising add-on activation in the current workflow. A Station needs a valid account and location assignment. Its advertising configuration and the iPad’s local advertising preference must both allow playback.

For club staff, switch to Club Admin for the correct club. The club uses the same Station advertising workspace, scoped to its own content. Location Admins cannot edit shared media or playlists.

Upload images and videosCopy Anchor Link

1. As Club Admin, open Management → Station advertising → Media library.

2. Select Upload media. Enter a clear Name and choose an Image or video.

3. Select Save and wait for processing. Add the item to a playlist only when it is Ready.

The server validates the file. A finished upload is not a ready video: server processing must also finish. For replacement content, upload a new item first, wait for Ready, then update the playlist.

Manage the club media libraryCopy Anchor Link

1. Use Preview to check the available media.

2. Use Edit to change Name, Media enabled, or Expires at. The expiry selector uses your browser’s local time; leave it blank for no expiry.

3. Select Save after editing. Disabled or expired media is excluded from playback after the Station receives the update.

Before deleting an item, remove it from all playlists. Deleting media is different from disabling it: disable content when you intend to keep it for later use.

Create and maintain playlistsCopy Anchor Link

1. Open the Playlists tab and select Create playlist, or Edit an existing playlist.

2. Enter a Name. Use Add ready media to add available items.

3. Use the up/down controls to arrange the playback order. Remove items you no longer need.

4. For each image, choose its duration: 10 seconds by default, 1–300 seconds allowed. Videos play to the end.

5. Choose Enable sound on Station if audio is wanted, then Preview and Save. Sound is off by default for a new playlist.

A playlist supports up to 100 unique items and 512 MiB of processed media. Editing a shared playlist affects every assigned Station after it receives the update. Unassign a playlist from Stations before deleting it.

Assign a playlist to a StationCopy Anchor Link

1. Select Assign via Team → Stations from the advertising workspace, or open Organization & locations → Team → Stations.

2. Find the Station account in the intended location. Select Configure advertising in its Actions column.

3. Choose a Playlist, turn on Enable advertising, and select Save.

4. Check the iPad’s Media panel to confirm that its content is ready.

Saving does not confirm synchronization or actual playback. Dashboard reports that device application confirmation is unavailable. Use the iPad and external display to verify the result.

To change the playlist, select another playlist and save. To remove the assignment, clear the playlist and disable advertising before saving. If a configuration conflict is reported, select Reload saved configuration and reapply your intended change.

Moving a Station to another assignment clears its advertising configuration. Configure the new assignment again; moving it back does not restore the old playlist automatically.

Update and check media on the iPadCopy Anchor Link

1. Open Settings and find External display advertising. Tap Media.

2. Check the playlist name and ordered media items. Ready to play means a file has been downloaded and verified.

3. Use Check and retry to check authorization and retry an update. After an interrupted download, Resume download may be offered.

While online, the Station checks about every five minutes, and also at startup/login, on return to the foreground, and after reconnection. New content downloads before taking over; a complete replacement switches at a media boundary.

Processing on server is different from Downloading or Verifying on the iPad. Interrupted downloads retain progress where supported. A circular indicator appears during downloading or verification. Media ready does not guarantee that the display is currently playing it.

Cached advertising may remain authorized offline for up to 24 hours after a successful check, limited further by media expiry. Reconnect if authorization expires. Downloading a file alone does not extend that authorization.

Pause can retain the current advertising frame. To restore idle mirroring, turn off External display advertising instead. If training is full screen, minimize it to reach the sidebar. Ads is hidden when the local advertising preference is off.

Understand automatic playbackCopy Anchor Link

Advertising requires a connected external display, enabled settings, authorized playable media, and no local pause blocking playback. Keep the Station app in the foreground.

An empty page, a missing heart-rate reading, or a temporarily hidden card is not enough. Cards elsewhere in the complete display model still prevent idle advertising.

Continuous Mode keeps the training session open. Advertisements fill eligible idle periods; they do not end or restart the session.

Playing means advertising is showing. Waiting for idle means content cannot yet take over. Paused reflects the local control. No display means an external display is unavailable. No available media or Update failed requires checking Media and the Dashboard configuration.

Join Code during Continuous ModeCopy Anchor Link

Members can still see how to join while Continuous Mode advertisements are playing. The current Join Code appears in a translucent dark panel at the top right of the external display, with its label and joining instruction.

The overlay appears only for a real current code. A placeholder code is hidden. Idle advertising outside a session has no Continuous Mode Join Code overlay.

When training becomes active or member cards appear, training takes over immediately. The advertising overlay disappears with the advertisement, and the training view handles the Join Code.

Troubleshooting and daily checksCopy Anchor Link

1. Confirm the right playlist is assigned and its media has not expired.

2. Open Media on the iPad and confirm Ready to play.

3. Check the connected external display during an eligible idle period.

4. For Continuous Mode, confirm the current Join Code remains readable over the advertisement.

Turning off advertising remotely cannot immediately remove it from an offline device. For an immediate local stop, use the Station controls.
