Station skins

License, choose, and synchronize your Station training display.

Use this guide to enable paid training skins for a club and choose a skin for each Station from either Dashboard or the iPad app. Six skins are free by default. Two additional skins require a valid club license.

You can change the saved choice whenever needed. The new skin applies to the next training session; a session already in progress keeps its current skin.

Next and Default are the same skin. Their labels differ between Dashboard and some iPad versions.

For a free skin, go directly to Dashboard switching or iPad switching. For Dot or Hitsona, first have an Accuro Admin activate the club license.

Skin changes affect presentation, not heart-rate collection, scoring, or session recording.

Find the club skin licenses

  1. Sign in to Dashboard and use the account menu to switch to Accuro Admin in Platform scope.

  2. Select the intended Client using the Client selector. A Client represents the club in this guide.

  3. Open Management → Skin licenses in the Client workspace.

  4. Review Available and Locked. Open the paid skin you intend to authorize.

A paid license belongs to one Client and is shared by its Stations. Dot and Hitsona are authorized separately. Free skins are available without a license grant.

Use the Client Skin licenses page for authorization. The platform Skin catalog manages the catalog and previews; it does not choose a skin for a Station. Skin licensing is not configured through Add-ons.

Activate or renew a paid skin

  1. On the paid skin card, select Activate license. If a license record already exists, select Manage license.

  2. Set License status to Authorized. Use Trial only when a trial is intended.

  3. Set Expires at if access should end on a specific date. Leave it blank for no expiry.

  4. Select Save, then check that the skin is available for the intended Client.

  5. Choose the newly available skin for each target Station using Dashboard or the iPad.

To renew, open Manage license, choose Authorized, and set a future expiry or clear it for no expiry. Expired or Disabled access does not authorize a new session to use that paid skin.

Activating a license makes the skin eligible; it does not replace any Station’s saved choice. Club Admins can select eligible skins, but an Accuro Admin in Platform scope manages paid authorization. This workflow records authorization; it is not a payment checkout.

Switch a Station skin in Dashboard

  1. Open the correct Client workspace as Club Admin, or select it as Accuro Admin.

  2. Open Organization & locations → Team → Stations. Find the target Station account and select its Training Skin action.

  3. In Available, use Enlarge preview to inspect a skin. Select the skin you want.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the dialog and select Save. Check the saved choice.

  5. Keep the iPad online so it receives the update. Start a new session to use the new skin.

Available includes free skins and paid skins with valid authorization. Locked skins cannot be selected until an Accuro Admin grants or renews the club license. Location Admins can configure Stations within their authorized location.

Each Station account has its own choice. Selecting a skin for one Station does not change other Stations. Save is disabled when the selection has not changed.

Switch a skin on the iPad Station

  1. Sign in to the intended Station account and open Settings.

  2. In Appearance, open the Skin dropdown.

  3. Choose any available skin. The choice is saved locally and synchronizes with the Station account when connected; there is no separate Save button.

  4. Start a new training session after the update is ready.

The dropdown lists skins that this Station can use and the app supports. After paid authorization is refreshed, eligible paid skins become selectable. If Dot or Hitsona is missing, check the club license and connectivity.

The System, Light, and Dark controls set the app’s appearance. The separate Skin dropdown sets the training presentation.

A pending message such as “Saved on this iPad. Waiting to sync with Dashboard when connected.” means the choice has been kept locally but has not yet synchronized.

Preview and verify the next session

  1. On the iPad, tap Preview beside the Skin field to inspect the selected design.

  2. Close the preview when finished. A preview does not start a training session.

  3. Confirm the intended saved skin and a valid license, then start a new session.

  4. Check both the iPad training view and the connected external display.

Dashboard also offers Enlarge preview on skin cards. Preview images help compare designs; they are not confirmation that a live session has changed.

A session keeps its skin through training, recovery, results, minimization, reconnection, and resume. Changing the saved choice during a session prepares a future session. In Continuous Mode, that means starting a new session, not waiting for an idle period.

Synchronization and troubleshooting

Dashboard and the iPad use the same Station account preference. Keep the app online and allow its next refresh, normally about 30 seconds while online. A pending local choice must finish synchronizing before Dashboard can show it consistently.

A new session uses the default skinThe selected skin may be unauthorized, expired, unknown, or unsupported by this app. Check access and app version.

If paid access expires or is disabled, an existing session keeps its skin. A future session falls back to Next or Default when the saved choice is no longer eligible. The saved choice itself is retained; fallback does not erase it.

Cached paid authorization can be used offline for up to 24 hours after a successful authorization refresh, or until an earlier license expiry. If authorization cannot be trusted, the Station uses a free fallback so training can continue. Reconnect before starting a session that requires a paid skin.

If a Station moves to another Client, its saved skin is retained, but paid access is evaluated against the destination Client’s licenses.
